We left San Diego MUCH better prepared than LA – Breakfast tacos in hand thanks to Jake who was worried about our well being. We hit some decent weather on the way to Ensenada, but it turned glassy by the time we were pulling into the port. The next morning the marina took us to the immigration and customs offices to check into the country officially. With their help it was a relatively seamless process. We met other cruisers at the check in and were invited a NYE party on the dock that night. Our New Years Eve party was more than we could have imagined, a catered sit down meal, and a full DJ setup in a 100′ motorsailer.
We were finally ready to start this cruise down the Pacific coast of Mexico!
